Keep your knives sharp!
A leather strop can help keep your knives sharp and will cut down on the frequency of actual sharpening sessions, prolonging the life of your blade in the process.
Simply put, you use a strop to hone your knife, pulling the knife across it in such a way that the leather realigns the edge and restores it. A strop works best when a small amount of honing compound is first applied to the leather. This adds a bit of abrasion to the process and speeds it up.
Honing is different than sharpening in that it doesn't remove steel from the edge of your knife. When you sharpen a knife you are actually removing a small amount of the blade in order to reset it and start fresh. This means that every time your sharpen your knife gets a tiny bit smaller. By regularly honing a knife on a strop you can drastically increase the time between sharpening sessions. It's fast, easy and effective.

Materials
Our blades are made with high carbon steel. This steel is known for its edge retention and durability. However, unlike stainless steel these blades will naturally oxidize over time and gain a beautiful patina.

If for some reason our knives fail to perform as they should, we will replace or repair them at no cost to you. Note that this guarantee does not apply if the knife has been misused or improperly cared for.
