We recognize that we are on Treaty 1 territory and respect the significance of the Bison to Indigenous culture. The bison horn we use in our work is responsibly-sourced from farms here in Manitoba.
Traditionally, the Bison represents strength, endurance, and protection. They embody the spirit of living free and in harmony with nature.
It starts by shaping bison horn by hand, with extra care taken to retain the amazing texture and color of the horn.
Then, for contrast, we take a piece of oak harvested from a retired whiskey barrel and hand-turn it into a thin ring.
Finally, carbon fiber is wrapped around the ring for durability and toughness.
Wear a piece of wild prairie history on your finger with this striking ring.
Because we use natural materials in our rings, your ring may not look exactly like the ring pictured. Every piece of horn we use has its own unique colour and grain pattern, which is what makes these rings so beautiful. Your ring will also age distinctly over time.
Prairie - Bison and Whiskey Barrel Ring
My fiancé picked this ring out for his wedding band and we could not be more pleased with the result. We did measure his ring size prior to ordering, which was recommended, and it fits him perfectly. It's very light weight and a really beautiful design. We've gotten lots of compliments on it so far. Ordering and receiving process was very smooth and it arrived in a timely manner as specified on the website. We are happy that we could support a small local business and get such a beautiful wedding band from them!
This ring is very beautiful and light in weight. The detail in it is so unique. My fiancé is so excited to get to wear it as his wedding band and really enjoyed the feeling of it on his finger when he tried it on. It fit perfectly as well. The ordering and receiving process was very pleasant.
Absolutely beautiful wedding band and equally great customer service. Pleasure all and all. Thanks to Marc Liss and everyone at origin Handcrafted Goods.
I love my bison horn/whiskey barrel wedding ring. It fits perfectly and it looks amazing. I get comments about it all the time about how great it looks. Other guys want one just like it now.
Everything we make at Origin Handcrafted is created with care, attention, and (most importantly) love.
Why does love matter? Because in a mass-produced world, we believe it's important that the things you buy have love built right into them.
Our goal is for you to love what you own, and that you own it for a lifetime.
Our products come with what we call an everyday structural guarantee, meaning Origin Handcrafted goods can endure everyday wear and tear without cracking, separating or breaking. We do not guarantee our products against unusual abuses or accidents.

This ring is the perfect example of why we love working with sustainably-harvested material at Origin Handcrafted.
Deer antler is such a wonderfully bright and durable material. As a central accent band it perfectly balances the ring.
The oak is harvested ethically from locally salvaged whiskey barrels.
Bands of carbon fiber are then wrapped around the edges of the wood, giving the ring superb contrast and providing lasting durability.
If you appreciate the rich character of natural materials, then you’ll absolutely love this ring.

Classic. Rustic. Refined. This ring has it all.
It starts with a piece of aged oak that once served as a whiskey barrel. Over the years, whiskey soaked into the wood and enhanced its natural tone.
The oak is harvested from the barrel and turned by hand into a ring. Then, resin is infused into the wood to create lasting durability.
The wood is fitted to a smooth stainless steel lining and finished with hand-wrapped carbon fiber edges that add strength, contrast, and water resistance.
An exceptional ring that is timeless in design and construction.
Because we use natural materials in our rings, your ring may not look exactly like the ring pictured. Every piece of material we use has its own unique colour and grain pattern. That said, Oak is a very consistent wood so you should expect you ring to be quite similar to this one.

This ring pairs three beautiful natural materials: wood, antler and stone.
The deer antler is first mounted to a piece of oak which has been harvested ethically from locally salvaged whiskey barrels.
Then we inlay a band of crushed turquoise stone in between the two materials adding a nice pop of colour.
Bands of carbon fiber are then wrapped around the edges of the wood, giving the ring superb contrast and providing lasting durability.
If you appreciate the rich character of natural materials, then you’ll absolutely love this ring.
